Attire
From Pilates work to Ballet and other dance classes, appropriate attire is vital to your experience at Inspiration to Movement.
See below for the complete listing of what you are expected to wear for different types of classes.
Note: Students will not be permitted to attend class unless they are wearing proper attire!
Absolutely no cover-ups or sweaters.
Ballet - Attire
Creative Movement I, II, and Pre-Ballet
Light blue cap sleeve leotard
Pink tights
Pink leather full-sole ballet shoes
OR
White t-shirt
Black tights or form-fitting pants
Black leather full-sole ballet shoes
Beginner Ballet to Advanced/Pre-Professional Ballet
Black leotard
Pink tights
Canvas or leather split sole ballet shoes
Pointe shoes when deemed appropriate by instructor/director
OR
White t-shirt
Black tights or form-fitting pants
Canvas or leather split sole ballet shoes
Pointe shoes when deemed appropriate by instructor/director
Adult Classes
Solid color leotard
Pink or black tights
Cover ups and chiffon skirts are allowed at this level
Ballet - Hair
Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet — Hair must be pulled back off the face and neck in a ponytail or bun
Ballet 1 through Pre-Professional — Hair must be pulled back off the face and neck in a bun

Modern - Attire
All Levels
Black Unitard
OR
Black leotard and black tights (footless or convertible)
Modern - Hair
All Levels — Hair must be pulled back off the face and neck in a bun
Ballroom - Attire
All Levels
Black leotard or close-fitting top
Circle skirt ("practice skirt") – must be solid color, above the knee, without embellishments. These can be custom ordered through Inspiration to Movement for $40.
Bicycle shorts, tights, leggings, etc. under skirt
1" Heel Ballroom shoes
OR
Collared shirt – solid color, without embellishments
Black dance pants ("jazz pants" or "practice pants")
Black socks
Dance belt or close-fitting underwear
Smooth ballroom shoes
Ballroom - Hair
All Levels — Hair must be pulled back away from the face (i.e. bun, ponytail, braid, etc.)
Pilates - Attire
Both shirt and shorts are to be solid black and as form fitting as possible.
Men – if wearing loose shorts, you must wear tight shorts underneath.
Footwear – bare feet or toe socks with "grippies."
